Default boddingtons 25/07/10

well i left my house this morning for the 2 hr drive to boddingtons i met my mates there from liverpool we started fishing at 11 am till 4 pm

it was a hard day in deed 9 of us fished it today

we were on pegs 36 to 50

for the 1st 3 hrs only 1 fish was caught

the winning weight was 57lb peg 50

2nd 20lb peg 47

3rd 12lb peg 37

the rest of us struggled

i blanked and my mate also blanked

so a crap day but the banter was brilliant

and fishing with the lads again was brilliant

ps i never tryed my new pole out ile wait for wednesday

just let you all no make sure u have a valid e/a licence when fishing the venue because they come round every day

every angler that passed us today said the pegs we were on are the worse pegs on the venue

so if any one is fishing it try and book pegs in the 90;s

also 1 pike was caught today hitting the scales at 7lb 12 oz on the pellet he caught it in the lip

By the looks of those swims you would need to be a mountain goat to get to them, would kill me trying and Julz would never make it ....... unless she was rolling down the rocks

The shoreline is not all rocks like that though surely Neil?? I thought that on a "Fishing Gurus" episode, introduced by Wendy Lythgoe, that Mick Bull and a guy called Alex fished the pellet waggler on Boddingtons and they were pegged on a nice grassy spot, or was that a priviliged exception maybe??

Some nice pictures there BTW, glad you had a good time.

Claire, that is after they redone the place, you were actually sitting on your seatbox on the rocks to fish originally.
but there is a wheelchair friendly peg with its own parking space on the venue.

i love the place, soz to hear it fished hard Neil (looks a good 6/8ft down which wouldn't help), as you can see from the first 3 in the frame the futher from the road dam wall the better the fishing, ish ( not a typo), dam wall was at one time the place to be, not now, best pegs are on the boat house side at the other dam wall, which is at the other side and at the other end of the Res ( its the grassy bit, with bushes aswel), and its a long walk believe me !!, and i'm on those pegs this sunday, nice pike aswel they turn up all the time, had one in a match 11lb 8oz on a lump of meat, have caught more pike there then anywhere else and thats when i've not been fishing for them !!!!!!!
nice set of photos Neil, i notice the fish were a bit on the small side, none of the lumps seem to have been caught, so looks like its going to be a long chuck (60/70yrds) the find then, i hope !
will let you know how it goes and put some photos up aswel
