We have just recieved all the information regarding the 2009 fishing festival from the Manderson Trust whose lake we are hiring.
They are now enforcing a total alcohol ban on their lakes, however as we are hiring them for a whole weekend and also providing our own liability insurance they will allow alcohol at our event, with a couple of conditions.
1. No glass of any sort to be taken onto the site
2. Anyone who overindulges and becomes unruly will be asked to leave by the trust.
We have to pay a deposit for at least the first lake now, so could those who have not paid us their deposits please do as soon as possible.
We already have well over 20 people who have said they will be coming and so far we have recieved 8 deposits. We will not be holding places without deposit so please get your deposits to us as soon as possible. We don't want anyone to miss out on a great weekend.
I was coming up as a coach, so i could help out anyone who wanted some help, or advice.
And obviously it was all FREE
But a fishing comp nearer to home (Almost my doorstep) has been arranged on these dates, and i have been a supporter of that water for a very long time, so i have to regreatabley pass this festival up.
My only problem now is how to get the football/fishing trophy lol up in time, on a budget of nought
We have now recieved deposits for all the places at the festival so we are closing entries for the event.
All those who have expressed an interest in the festival but not paid their deposits will be put on a reserve list and contacted should a place become available. We also do this for anyone else who is interested in a place.
always great to see the names come flooding in for the greatest fishing social event of the year.

great news, theres going to be a few miss out on this great event, can't wait for it again, tell the fish, we won't drink as long as they feed,,,, is there any chance of some well done sausages, to use as bait ( you could charge a £ a banger )
it is a shame that i have to miss this years festival,but i will certainly attend next years festival without fail,if only to sample some of Claires barbecue.the pictures from the last festival barbecue made me hungry just looking.
so try and save some sausages for next year please.
